This is an application brought under sections 164 and 176 of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Act.

The Applicants, Andreas and Irene Illenseer, are the owner of the Lands described as: THE SOUTH WEST ¼ OF SECTION 12 TOWNSHIP 86 RANGE 19 WEST OF THE 6TH MERIDIAN PEACE RIVER DISTRICT.

The Respondent, Erikson National Energy Inc., is the operator of an oil and gas activity on the Lands. The Respondent’s right of entry to the Lands for the purpose of conducting the oil and gas activity is pursuant to the surface lease dated November 24, 1995 (the Surface Lease).

Pursuant to the Surface Lease, Erikson National Energy Inc., is required to make annual payment of $4,180.00, to Andreas and Irene Illenseer. Erikson National Energy Inc. failed to make the annual payment required by November 24, 2024.

The Board finds that Erikson National Energy Inc. has failed to pay rent owing under the surface lease and that Andreas and Irene Illenseer are owed the amount set out below. Pursuant to section 176 of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Act, the Board determines that Erikson National Energy Inc. owes Andreas and Irene Illenseer unpaid rent of: $4,180.00 plus interest as of November 2024.

The Board orders as follows: 1. Erikson National Energy owes Andreas and Irene Illenseer the sum of $4,180.00 plus interest calculated in accordance with the Court Order Interest Act from November 2024;
